Luc Bessons obsession
with the big blue sea makes for a beautiful movie that encompasses friendship
and rivalry set against the backdrop of the ocean. Two friends, Enzo and
Jacques, grow up in the Mediterranean with the love of diving. Years later,
they meet, having distinguished themselves in the diving circuit. The two
men decide to pit their wills and bodies against each other to decide who
can dive the deepest. The Big Blue is a movie that offers groundbreaking
oceanic cinematography and feature atmospheric music from Besson's longtime
collaborator, Eric Serra. |
